About the Author

LEE DEANER Training has been a part of Lees career from the beginning, when he was an officer in the U.S. Army. He later entered the pharmaceutical industry, where he moved from sales to sales training. His first exposure to virtual training was a surprise, brought on by the H1N1 flu outbreak and a travel ban. From there, his team quickly developed the first virtual training strategy for the company. Little did he know that those strategies would lead him to found Leading Edge Training Solutions. Working with companies across multiple sectors, Leading Edge ensures that participants have the most effective virtual events possible- even when they cannot participate in person.

NICK ZERBY While working in the pharmaceutical industry as a training manager, Nick was searching for ways to connect people beyond live training or e-modules. Dating back almost ten years, virtual platforms were beginning to make their way into our worlds! With a little research, ingenuity, and some very patient field trainers, we forged our way into virtual learning. With lots of tripping and falling, we finally learned to walk and eventually run in the virtual world! Leading Edge was founded on these learnings, and we are proud to have created a playbook to help YOU avoid these pitfalls!

STANLEY SAINT-LOUIS Stan's passion for virtual training started at Sanofi while working in the training department. When the H1N1 flu outbreak hit in 2009, he forged forward and created an innovative way to help learners become experts on their newly launched product virtually- a company first! Since those days, Stan has committed himself to helping hundreds of trainers and thousands of learners have awesome experiences virtually that may have not happened otherwise. Stan is highly passionate about learning and development and is proud to have taken part in creating this playbook.
